3. General Zia-ul-Haq
Just before the Reliance World Cup of 1987, a tense atmosphere arose in the borders of India and Pakistan as both countries were the co-hosts of the World Cup for the first time. The General of Pakistan General Zia-ul-Haq came to visit India surprisingly. Later in went on to watch Cricket with India’s Prime Minister by pushing away the tension between the two countries. This event marked a huge change in the cricketing world.
