Prasidh Krishna was looked at as someone who will be a hit-the-deck bowler for the Indian team and someone who will use his height and get a good bounce and add more variety to the pace attack for India. He was, however, expensive in the West Indies ODI series that concluded recently. He was dropped for a game and then came back into the playing XI in the final game.

He only has a slower ball in his armoury and to go long in ODI cricket he has to not become a one-trick pony and develop more variations so that he becomes more potent and that batters find it difficult to read him. If he does not perform well, he will play no further role in the Zimbabwe series.
