Varun Aaron was a fast bowler’s delight as he could run in and bowl quickly with his terrific speeds and make the ball talk at pace. He has rippling chest muscles and was touted to be a big thing in India’s line of up-and-coming fast bowlers with the likes of Umesh Yadav and Mohammed Shami, but his career never took off.

In the 2022 edition, he played two games picking up two wickets. He picked up 2/45 against the Lucknow franchise, which was the first game for Gujarat as a franchise. He played the next game against Delhi but he was out with an injury after he bowled a solitary over and then he never played in the 2022 season.
