India’s star cricketer Jasprit Bumrah was seen copying the bowling action of Ravichandran Ashwin in the net practice session ahead of the second Test game slated to take place on January 3 in Cape Town. Notably, the right-arm pacer was seen bowling the spin action ahead of the last and final Test game. The clip of this act has been widely shared on social media with humorous comments.

Meanwhile, Jasprit Bumrah and Ravichandran Ashwin will be the two important bowlers from India’s camp and will be the most crucial players in the second Test. The visiting sides have already lost the first game by huge margins, and they will be looking to win the second Test to level up the series and avoid a whitewash.

However, India’s skipper Rohit Sharma recently opened up about South Africa giving priority to the SA20 League over Test cricket. Notably, CSA has announced the 14-member Test squad for the New Zealand Test series, which comprises 7 uncapped players as their best players will be playing in the SA20 League.

I feel we don’t have such problems at this point of time: Rohit Sharma

“For me, Test remains ultimate challenge and we would like to see best players playing that format but everyone has own problems to deal with and make sure there is a reason behind it,” Rohit Sharma reacted when asked about the CSA move.

Rohit Sharma clarified that he doesn’t know the reason behind the same; however, he feels they should pick the best players as Test cricket is the ultimate challenge. In addition, the stylish right-handed batter reveals that the CSA priority should be Test cricket.

“I don’t know what the reason is (for SA not picking senior players) and in Test cricket, you want to see best players being available but like I said I don’t know what internal discussions are in CSA but from my perspective, the priority should be given to Test cricket. It’s a challenge that you face every day. I feel we don’t have such problems at this point of time,” he added further.
