Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) displayed a dominant performance as they handed a thumping defeat to Rajasthan Royals (RR) by a staggering 112 runs in an exhilarating IPL 2023 encounter. RCB, led by their skipper, won the toss and opted to bat first on a challenging wicket. Despite the difficulties, they managed to post a respectable total of 171/5.

Captain Faf du Plessis set the tone for RCB’s innings with a well-crafted 55 off 44 deliveries, including three boundaries and two sixes. Joining the party, Glenn Maxwell showcased his explosive batting prowess, smashing 54 off just 33 balls, comprising five fours and three sixes. With this resounding victory, RCB climbed to the fifth position in the IPL points table with 14 points, bolstering their playoff aspirations. Meanwhile, RR languished at the sixth spot with 12 points, facing an uphill battle to secure a playoff berth.
