Smriti Mandhana has won the ‘Extraordinaire – Hall of Fame’ award for her contributions to the Indian cricket. The Indian opener who is loved by many fans, got the award for her good record in the Indian cricket team over the years. Along with the likes of Harmanpreet Kaur, Mithali Raj, Jhulan Goswami, Shafali Varma, and Jemimah Rodrigues, Mandhana is one of the most favorite women’s cricketers from India. 

The 27-year-old is one of the most popular women’s cricketers in the world and has a lot of fans in India and around the globe. Mandhana plays for the Indian team in international cricket and Royal Challengers Bangalore in Women’s Indian Premier League. These are the two teams with a huge fan base. The popularity of the Mumbai-born athlete is evident.  

Mandhana made her debut for the Indian team way back in 2013, at the age of just 17. Since then, the opening batter has been one of the mainstays in the Indian cricket. Mandhana is a physically strong athlete and a very good fielder. Having played 10 years of international cricket, Mandhana is one of the highest paid women cricketers as well.

The Southpaw has played a lot of cricket for India. In Test cricket, Mandhana has 325 runs in 4 matches at a very good batting average of 46.4, at a strike rate of 52.6. In ODIs, the Indian star cricketer has played 80 matches and scored 3179 runs at agood batting average of 43.00, at a batting strike rate of 83.3. Mandhana happens to be one of the most consistent batters in women’s cricket. 

In T20 internationals, Mandhana has played 119 matches for India and scored 2854 runs at a batting average of 26.80, at a batting strike rate of 122.80 and won numerous matches for her team. These are very good stats for a women’s cricketer, especially for an Indian. The Maharashtra batter is one of the most aggressive batters in women’s cricket and always plays for the team.
