The Pakistani coach mickey Arthur claimed the match between India and Pakistan to be like a bilateral one rather than an international one. Arthur accused India of not playing ‘Dil Dil Pakistan’ often. According to Arthur, the atmosphere was not ideal for Pakistan players, as there was a lack of support for the men in green.
The comments of Arthur came after Pakistan lost the game against India. “Look, I’d be lying if I said… It didn’t seem like an ICC event, tonight, to be brutally honest. It seemed like a bilateral series; it seemed like a BCCI event. I didn’t hear Dil Dil Pakistan coming through the microphones too often tonight,” claimed Arthur.
The Pakistani coach said that it was not an excuse from their side for their loss against India. “So yes, that does play a role, but I’m not going to use that as an excuse because for us, it was about living the moment, it was about the next ball and it was about how we were going to combat the Indian players tonight,” said Arthur.

Arthur said that Pakistan did not have a good game. “We were timid today; we didn’t play The Pakistan Way against India. This Indian team is a very good cricket team. I think they’re well-led by Rahul and Rohit Sharma. They look good and have all bases covered. I’m looking forward to meeting them in the final again,” added Arthur in the press conference.
Arthur was confident of Pakistan’s comeback in the remainder of the tournament. The Pakistan coach said that they would be happy to face India in the final. “It is a long World Cup, we’ve won two out of three matches, we will not panic and will focus on the next match with patience. Hopefully we meet India in the final,” said Arthur. Pakistan is yet to win a match in the ODI World Cup against India.
