The Argentina skipper received a rousing reception from the fans at the restaurant. The fans were seen taking selfies and cheering vociferously for him. There was chaos unfolding. His guards escorted Messi out of the restaurant. Even when he came outside, the situation was no different.
Messi will become a free agent on June 30 after his PSG contract expires
Fans were thronging in large numbers to catch a glimpse of the sportsman. People were frantically clicking pictures on their phones. There are reports that Messi has made a decision about his future after his PSG contract ends. The World Cup winner becomes a free agent on June 30. Messi could extend his stay at PSG or he could return to FC Barcelona or Newell’s Old Boys. These were the clubs where Messi had honed his craft. He could also go to Al-Hilal and play in Saudi Arabia, where, reportedly, a 350 million Dollar contract could be offered to Messi. As per a report from Sport, Messi has come to the conclusion that he will not entertain any offers from the Middle East.
A report from El Nacional states that Messi could extend his stay at PSG and could extend his contract by another year. Earlier this month, it was said that president Joan Laporta put out this “final offer” to Messi’s father and agent Jorge Messi, who has gone on record saying that any transfer buzz linking his son to Saudi Arabia is “fake news”.
