Watch: Virat Kohli’s gives tips to opposition bowler Prasidh Krishna; latter gets Shreyas Iyer out

The ongoing four-day warm-up game between Leicester and India is going on with full intensity. Notably, four Indian players are playing for the opposition team. The likes of Cheteshwar Pujara, Rishabh Pant, Jasprit Bumrah, and Prasidh Krishna have turned up for the County team. Also, Pujara has played for two Counties in the same year for the first time in his career.

Meanwhile, during the game, former India skipper Virat Kohli was seen giving tips to Krishna ahead of the 20th over. Little did he know that the tips will end Shreyas Iyer’s innings, who, like everyone on the team, was looking to get some game time. The team is playing the warm-up to get habitual to the Test match style of play ahead of the fifth Test against England.

Meanwhile, Krishna came into bowl the 20th over of India’s innings. He bowled just short of the full length. Iyer, in response, went for an expansive drive only managing the inside edge and the catch was taken by Pant. The video was captured by a Twitter user aiming at the television screen and was uploaded on the micro-blogging site.

Talking about the game, the visitors were in deep trouble as they lost five wickets for just 81 runs. Skipper Rohit Sharma (25) and his opening partner, Shubman Gill (21) got starts but couldn’t convert them into big totals. Hanuma Vihari, who was batting at number three, failed to make the opportunity count. All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja scored a run a ball 13 before he was trapped lbw by Roman Walker. Kohli and Srikar Bharat are batting at the crease and have stitched a partnership of 52 runs before the rain delay at the time of writing.

The former India skipper is looking in good rhythm after playing his first game since the break. He has scored 32 with four fours and a six. The right-hander would be looking to get a big score ahead of the Test match.
