Virat Kohli is surely one of the modern-day greats in contemporary cricket due to his batting prowess in all three forms of the game. Kohli has churned up the runs at an average of close to 50 in all three formats. Though batting is Virat Kohli’s main forte, the former India skipper has turned his arm over and there are a lot of instances when he has done so. The 33-year-old took the ball in his hand yesterday when India faced Hong Kong in the Asia Cup 2022.

In the 1st innings, when India batted, he scored his first international 50 after a long gap of 6 months on Wednesday. This inning was a shot in the arm for him and it would have silenced the detractors entirely. He had scored a 44 ball 59 against Hong Kong, The innings contained 1 four and 3 sixes and it was a treat to watch.

There were more surprises for the fans in store as Virat Kohli came on as the 6th bowling option and turned his arm over. He came into the attack in the 17th over in Hong Kong’s chase when they were a fair amount of runs still to get. Virat chipped in as the 6th bowler also because Hardik Pandya was rested for this game.

Virat Kohli had a good short spell with the ball as he gave away just six runs of the solitary over that he bowled. He had a decent economy rate of 6 to the over, and although he did not pick up a wicket, he bowled the over very well and kept things tight. After a long hiatus of not bowling in a T20 match, Virat Kohli did so for the first time yesterday since 2016, which was a thrill of sorts for the fans as well.

The fast wrong-footed action of Virat Kohli which is funnily called ‘double uddi’ in Hindi was a joy to watch.
