Watch: Shakib Al Hasan vociferously screams at the umpire, charges at him for not declaring a wide in BPL
The incident happened in the third ball of the 15th over when Shakib was batting in the first innnings.

Shakib Al Hasan is one of the stalwarts of Bangladesh Cricket. He has a stupendous ODI record and Test record that would leave anyone envious. He recently criticised the Bangladesh Premier League and said that he would correct the state of affairs at the BPL if given a chance to be the CEO.
The Bangladesh Test skipper is in the headlines again for involving himself in a sensational incident in the BPL. He was playing for Fortune Barishal and he was annoyed with the umpire when the ball bounced high and was not given as a wide. The umpire called it a fair delivery and said it was one bouncer for the over.
It was seen that Shakib screamed at the square leg umpire in anger and charged towards the umpire to indicate that he was very unhappy with the decision. He then walked to the umpire and fired a volley of words at him before getting back to his crease. This is not the first time that Shakib has had an angry outburst at the umpires or the players at the BPL

In 2021, Shakib was at the forefront at that time as well when he had an unsavoury incident at the Dhaka Premier League. The all-rounder kicked the stumps in frustration and then removed them. He also had a heated argument with the umpires back then. “I am extremely sorry for losing my temper and ruining the match for everyone and especially those who are watching from home. An experienced player like me should not have reacted that way but sometimes against all odds, it happens unfortunately,” He had apologised for his behaviour back then.
Shakib has lost his cool and has also been a mercurial character. In T20 Leagues, because of his mercurial nature, franchises were hesitant to give him captaincy because of this trait. He has got a contract with the Kolkata side and will play for them in the 2023 edition of the Indian T20 League.
