WATCH: Sarel Erwee falls to Nathan Lyon after shocking leave in the Third Test against Australia
South Africa have lost the three match Test series 2-0 to Australia.

Australia and South Africa battled it out for one final time at the Sydney Cricket Ground. Australia in the first innings, sent the South African bowlers on a leather hunt. Usman Khawaja blasted his way through to a sterling 195 with 19 fours and one six. Marnus Labuschagne smashed 79 off 151 balls with 13 fours.
Steven Smith scored big runs in Australia as he also scored a wonderful 104 off 192 balls with 11 fours and two sixes. This allowed Australia to get to 475-4 in the first innings. South Africa came out to bat and they opened their innings with Dean Elgar and Sarel Erwee. Ervee played a struggling innings of 18 off 55 balls with two fours before he fell to Nathan Lyon.

Lyon bowled the off break that spun slightly. Erwee saw the ball pitched outside off and thought that it would spin away from him. He stood there with his bat above his shoulder. But, to his amazement, the ball came in with the angle and hit the top of off. It was very poor judgement from Erwee that cost him his wicket.
The Proteas could not hold their own with the bat as they crumbled to 147-6. They have not had a good time with the bat for the entirety of the series. Baring Temba Bavuma, who scored 35 off 74 balls with one four and two sixes, and Khaya Zondo, who made 39 off 83 balls with two fours and two sixes, the batting was pear shaped and could not stand up to the Australian bowlers.
South Africa have already lost the Test series 2-0 and are not in the frame for the World Test Championship final. Their batting has come in question and a lot of former proteas players have slammed their players for bad decision making and not playing the right shots that would help them get runs in Australia. Australia will be looking to give a tough fight to India in India at the Border Gavaskar Trophy.
