India started Day 3 on a good note as young Dhruv Jurel played a beautiful knock of 90 runs before getting out to Tom Hartley. India was bowled out on 307 runs. Coming to bowl India handed new ball to Ravichandran Ashwin. This was the first time in the ongoing series he was going to ball with the new ball along with his spin partner Ravindra Jadeja.
As the new ball was handed to him, he made a quick response as he sent three English batters back to dressing root. Later in the match, Rohit Sharma shouted at his teammate Sarfaraz Khan as he was not wearing a helmet while fielding at a silly point position.
As Shoaib Bashir was on strike the Indian captain Rohit Sharma wanted him to stand near as Ravichandran Ashwin was bowling. The incident happened in the last hour of play in the last session of the ongoing Test match.
Run chase for India
Sarfaraz Khan was ready at the fielding position without wearing a helmet. At that time Rohit told him to wear a helmet before going to that position. Rohit Sharma yelled at him by saying, “Aye bhai, hero nai banne ka (hey, don’t be a hero here).”
