Watch – Ranveer Singh protects his pregnant wife Deepika Padukone as they get mobbed at the Jamnagar airport

Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh, soon-to-be parents, were photographed at the airports in Jamnagar and Mumbai on Thursday night. The actors arrived for Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s pre-wedding celebrations in Jamnagar looking adorable in white. Earlier in the day, the actors had announced their pregnancy.

Fans flocked to Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh as soon as they arrived in Jamnagar, wanting to take selfies and take pictures with them. Deepika was seen being assisted by Ranveer as she made her way to their car while he held her hand. To shield her from the throng, he even wrapped his arms around her. Ranveer waved to the crowd and seemed content as he couldn’t stop smiling. Security guards flanked the couple as well, preventing the throng from approaching too closely.

Following Deepika Padukone’s recent BAFTA Awards presentation, there were speculations that she was concealing a growing baby bump under her shimmery Sabyasachi saree. The actor was reportedly in her second trimester of pregnancy, according to a recent report from The Week, and her bump was also visible in the photos she shared on Instagram. On Thursday, the couple posted a simple message on social media that said, “September 2024,” confirming the news. Both fans and celebrities congratulated the couple in their messages.

Deepika and Ranveer made their first public appearance at the Mumbai airport as they left the city following the announcement. While Ranveer chose a white sweatshirt and pants, Deepika looked stunning in a white dress and matching sweater. After getting hitched in 2018, the pair collaborated on movies including ‘Padmaavat’, ‘Bajirao Mastani’, and ‘Goliyon Ka Raasleela Ram-Leela’.

Ranveer and Rohit Shetty are currently filming ‘Singham Again‘. He is also rumoured to be starring in the ‘Shaktimaan’ film, which Basil Joseph of Minnal Murali fame is directing. In addition to Prabhas, Kamal Haasan, and Amitabh Bachchan in Nag Ashwin’s ‘Kalki 2898 AD‘, Deepika Padukone also stars in ‘Singham Again’.
