Watch: PCB Chairman Ramiz Raja’s ‘club-level’ remark on Zimbabwe comes back to haunt him, video goes viral

Pakistan lost their second match of the 20-20 World Cup against Zimbabwe and it has thrown the whole fandom and administration into a meltdown. Every few hours one or the other ex-Pakistan player makes some reactionary comment on the Pakistan team and hoards the limelight.

Now netizens are using a video of Ramiz Raja wherein he shows disappointment after Pakistan’s loss against a ‘club-level team.’ Social media users are claiming it to be Pakistan Cricket Board’s chairman’s reaction after the recent Pakistan- Zimbabwe match at the 20-20 World Cup. This however is not the case!

Upon some research, it was found that the video is from Pakistan’s loss to Zimbabwe in a T20 match in Harare on April 13^th 2021. In the video, Raja is head saying, “Bahot hi ordinary performance dikhayi ek club level ki team ke khilaf (It was a very ordinary performance against a club level team).”

Tough road ahead for Pakistan

The Babar Azam-led side currently sit fifth in the group with zero points in two matches. India meanwhile are top of the group with four points in two matches. Bangladesh and South Africa are the next two teams in Group 2. Zimbabwe have slipped to 4^th after losing a nail-biter against Bangladesh in their third match.

Pakistan would have to win all of their remaining matches in the Super 12 to have a chance at qualifying for the Semi-final. Not just that but they would also have to hope for other results to fall in their favour. They play the Netherlands next in their third match on October 30^th.
