The Bangladesh fans are well-known for making unnecessary digs at opposing teams before games. They’ve done it several times before, and they’re doing it again. South Africa and Bangladesh were supposed to play a warm-up match before the start of their respective 20-20 World Cup 2022 campaigns on Wednesday (October 19), but the game was cancelled due to rain in Brisbane.

Before the Bangladesh-South Africa match, the Bangla Tigers, an Abu Dhabi T10 league team, took to Twitter to share a post that appeared to be insensitive to Twitterati. Bangladesh captain Shakib al Hasan is seen standing tall over South Africa captain Temba Bavuma’s miniature in the post. Some fans found this offensive, and they lectured the Bangla Tigers about it.

Here is Bangla Tigers’ Post

Bangladesh had a forgettable start to their preparations for the T20 World Cup, losing by 62 runs to Afghanistan. Bangladesh was restricted to 98/9 in 20 overs while chasing a target of 161. South Africa defeated New Zealand by a score of 9 wickets in their warm-up match. Theyย bowled out New Zealand for 98 and chased it down in 11.2 overs thanks to the success of their bowlers.

The Proteas, who have yet to win the tournament, will begin their campaign on October 24 against one of the qualifying teams. Following that, they will face Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, and another qualifying team.ย Bangladesh will also begin their campaign against one of the qualifying teams on October 24. Following that, they will face South Africa, a qualifying team, India, and Pakistan.

In the meantime, Twitter was displeased with Bangla Tigers’ post. They lashed on them, pointing out that the dig was uncalled for. “Will you guys ever learn to respect other teams despite being one of the worst teams ever to play the game?” an angry fan wrote. Some fans, on the other hand, believe that fans should be taught how to respect other teams before being allowed to play.
