Former Pakistan cricketer Shoaib Akthar is one of the greatest fast bowlers ever to play the game. He has 247 ODI wickets for Pakistan and earned the nickname of the Rawalpindi express when he troubled the batters with his express pace.

He used to be admired a lot for his pace and has also played alongside the likes of Wasim Akram and Waqar Younis.

Shoaib has a popular YouTube channel and is now running a new show in Pakistan. In one of the episodes, the guest had a brain freeze for a bit as she could not get the answer to a simple question. Akthar posed a question to the guests saying,

“In which year did Pakistan win the 1992 World Cup?’, to which the guest was dumbstruck and could not reply.

The guest was a Pakistani anchor. The former-fast bowler repeated the question to try to make the guest understand that the answer was hidden in the question itself.

Here is the video:

Pakistan were the finalists in the 20-20 World Cup in 2022 in Australia:

She took the help of another guest who was with her on the show, and she told her that the answer was 1992. Akthar threw a curveball at her and changed the question to,

“In which year did Pakistan win the 2009 World Cup.” She again answered 1992, before she learning after some time that the question was a different one. It was a pretty embarrassing moment for the guest considering it happened on national television.

Pakistan have won two World Cups. They won the ODI World Cup in 1992 under the captaincy of Imran Khan, who rallied the side to lift the trophy in Australia, considering their bad start to the campaign. They beat England in the final. In 2009, Pakistan beat Sri Lanka in England to lift their first 20-20 World Cup title.

Pakistan had a good showing in the last 20–20 World Cup in Australia after losing two back-to-back games against India and Zimbabwe. They came storming back with wins against Netherlands and South Africa. They qualified for the final and gave England a tough fight but emerged second best as England recorded their second 20-20 World Cup title.
