The FIFA World Cup 2022 concluded at a record high as Lionel Messi led the Argentina team to lift the World Cup trophy. This victory by Messi has put a full stop to his comparisons with Cristiano Ronaldo. Many took to social media to announce that the debate of greatness among these two generational players has finally been won by the diminutive Argentinian.

While the FIFA World Cup final was entertaining for the great quality of football on display, it was also taken a notch higher by Indian actor-dancer Nora Fatehi’s performance. Fatehi set the stage on fire with her excellent performance on the FIFA theme song ‘Light The Sky’.

She took to the stage with Balqees, Rahma Riad and Manal to perform the song in the closing ceremony. For the special occasion, Fatehi wore an embellished black dress and paired it with stockings and heels for the all-black look. Soon after the ceremony, videos of her performance started doing the rounds of social media.

Here’s the video:

Even the Indian actress shared the performance on her Instagram account. The caption of the post read, “The FIFAWorldCup closing ceremony delivered!.”

As for the match, it was an enthralling game of football that went right down to the wire. In the end, the Lionel Messi-led Argentina side managed to hold their nerves and win the coveted prize for the third time in history.

France’s Kylian Mbappe scored a hattrick and took the game by the scruff of the neck while other French players failed to emulate their performance from the past. Messi’s victory also brought him a golden ball making him the first-ever player to win the coveted prize on two occasions.

The victory has also ended the debate between Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo on who is the greatest player. Now that Messi has won a World Cup he is being considered by many as better than Ronaldo who failed to win the World Cup in five events.
