Watch: Mohammad Shami go bananas as he dismisses Cheteshwar Pujara for a duck

Indian seamer, Mohammad Shami was unstoppable in his celebration as he dismissed his team India team-mate Cheteshwar Pujara for a duck on Friday. The two players were up against each other in the warm-up game between India and Leicestershire.

The seamer bowled a back-of-length delivery to the Rock-solid batsman as Pujara tried to punch it off the back foot the ball got an inside edge and hit the stumps. Pujara was dismissed for a 6-ball-duck. Shami was seen running in jubilation post the dismissal and ended up celebrating the dismissal by jumping on his India team-mate. Both the players and the fielders around them had a good laugh witnessing the moment.

The Indian team is preparing for the rescheduled fifth Test match against England. They are leading the 5-match series by 2-1 and are one step away from winning a series on English soil after 15 years. If India manage to win the series, it will be their fourth Test series victory in England.

The Indian team has many questions regarding their playing XI for the Test match. As Indian opener KL Rahul got injured, Shubhman Gill is expected to open the innings in his place.

Cheteshwar Pujara didn’t find a place in the 2-match Test series against Sri Lanka at home due to his poor run of form since 2020. But the Indian Test specialist has made a strong comeback in the team after his prolific run in County Cricket. While all Indian players were busy playing in the Indian T20 League, Pujara decided to play county country and worked on his game.

While Pujara was out of the squad, Hanuma Vihari took his place at No 3. It will be interesting to see whether he gets a chance to play now that Pujara is back in the team. It will also be interesting to see that if Vihari plays then on which position will he be playing as he can even be used as an opening option by the team. India would like to get their playing eleven sorted before the match-day.
