Watch: KKR’s Rinku Singh gives a hilarious reply when SRK asks him to lead the team chant after win against RCB in IPL

Kolkata Knight Riders produced a stunning performance against Royal Challengers Bangalore to earn their first IPL win. KKR recovered from a precarious position at 89-5. This was due to Shardul Thakur’s blazing innings of 68 off 29 balls with nine fours and three sixes. He received wonderful support from Rinku Singh, who made 46 off 33 balls with two fours and three sixes.

KKR eventually won the game by a whopping 81 runs. After the win, KKR team owner Shah Rukh Khan joined the celebrations. He came into the dressing room and congratulated the team for a wonderful performance. The team then lined up and broke into a chant for the team song. Shah Rukh graciously asked Rinku Singh to lead the group and start the chant. He said that the team will follow Rinku’s lead to which the left-hand batter gave a hilarious reply.

KKR won two IPL titles in 2012 and 2014 

KKR are without their regular captain Shreyas Iyer, who will miss the Indian Premier League and the Test Championship final in England. He will undergo surgery for his back. Shakib Al Hasan had also backed out at the last minute due to national commitments. The Chandrakant Pandit-coached side has their hands full this season, but they have shown what they can do by upsetting an in-form RCB.

KKR had a narrow 7-run loss against Punjab Kings in their first game via DLS. In their first match, they were not up to it with the bat and the bowling had conceded too many runs. But KKR got their act together and gave a big upset to RCB in their second game. KKR won two IPL titles in 2012 and 2014. They finished seventh on the points table in 2022. They had problems of getting their combination right and made too many changes to their starting XI.

The IPL has had a great first week with some thrilling contests that have kept cricket lovers on their toes. But the administrators and the broadcasters should reach an amicable solution to see that the matches start on time and end on time so that the fans get the best experience possible, and the advertisers do not lose out on revenue.
