WATCH: Kavem Hodge hilariously asks third umpire for ‘Bail Change Review’

Kavem Hodge keeps the fans entertained with his antics in Gabba.

West Indian players are known for their love of the game and for having a humorous side. This was displayed by Kavem Hodge during the recent second Test against Australia in Gabba. The 30-year-old played a key role with the bat as the West Indians won the Test by 8 runs.

In what was the most hilarious moment of the Test, Kavem Hodge seemed to be having a chat with the third umpire. One ground staff came onto the field to change the bails. Kavem Hodge then crouched low and spoke into the stump microphone.

Watch the video below:

Kavem Hodge said “Third umpire to director, we have a review for bail change. Give me your best bail angle. Seems to be a fair bail”. This was followed by the West Indian breaking into a huge laugh as play resumed.

West Indies keep their cool to post a historic win against Australia

While he isn’t making people laugh, Kavem Hodge was part of a historic win against Australia. On Sunday West Indies beat Australia by 8 wickets to win the Brisbane Test and level the series.

Chasing 216 to win, Australia were bundled out for just 207 runs on the board. Shamar Joseph was the destroyer in chief picking 7/68 with the ball from his 11.5 overs. The first wicket of Usman Khawaja was taken by Alzarri Joseph for 24. Justin Greaves then struck getting Marnus Labuschagne out for 5.

Steve Smith and Cameron Green then added 71 runs for the third wicket. West Indies made a comeback into the game picking Green and Travis Head off successive balls. It was young Shamar Joseph who did the damage as Head was out for a king pair.

Mitchell Marsh and Mitchell Starc tried to force the issue with the bat as Steve Smith stood steadfast. It wasn’t enough as the 24-year-old raced to pick his second Test fifer to leave Australia in disarray.

After the dinner break, all hopes rested on Smith but the opener didn’t find enough support. Nathan Lyon was out for 9 when Joshua Da Silva held on to a smart catch of Alzarri Joseph. Josh Hazlewood saw his off-pole knocked back to signal a huge and historic win for the West Indians.
