Virat Kohli has been one of the greatest players for India in white-ball cricket. Kohli and his art of acing a chase is well known in international cricket over the years. Kohli has as of 2021 scored 5388 runs in 89 matches at an average of 96.21 when it came to run chases in ODIs. Kohli as of 2021 has scored 22 hundreds in games that India has successfully chased down. Kohli and run chases have been a love story in cricket. The way he constructs his innings in run chases and takes India over the line is something else.

Speaking of the same, Ian Bishop while commentating at the 2023 ODI World Cup qualifiers in Zimbabwe said, “Kohli is one of the best chasers in the white ball history. His passion and commitment for the game is amazing”. Bishop and Andy Flower were in the commentary box at that time. Bishop was all praise for Kohli and highlighted what was him so special when it comes to chasing in ODI’s and T20Is.

West Indies beat Nepal by 101 runs in Zimbabwe at the 2023 World Cup qualifiers

West Indies and Nepal played out a World Cup qualifier game at Bulawayo in Zimbabwe. Nepal won the toss and chose to bat. The men from the Caribbean sent the Nepal bowlers on a leather hunt as Shai Hope made a cracking 132 off 129 balls with 10 fours and three sixes. Nicholas Pooran also provided great support as the left-hander smashed 115 off 94 balls with 10 fours and four sixes. This enabled the Men in Maroon to score 339-7 in their 50 overs.

Rajbanshi was the pick of the Nepal bowlers as he took 3-52 in his 10 overs. In the second innings, the West Indies bowlers came together as a pack to bundle Nepal for 238 and pick up a 101-run win. Jason Holder took 3-34 in his 10 overs. Alzarri Joseph, Keemo Paul, and Akeal Hisein took two scalps each in their respective spells. The West Indies have won both of their fixtures in the World Cup qualifiers so far and are sitting pretty on top with four points.
