Ashes 2023 has been very high-octane and riveting to watch. Australia have a 2-1 lead over England but the Three Lions are having the upper hand at Manchester in the fourth Test with Australia at 113-4. The Kangaroos are still trailing the Three Lions by 162 runs. Australia are in a bit of a precarious position as Mitchell Starc is bowling with a shoulder injury which has made their bowling look a tad bit lighter. The Australians also do not have a spinner bowling in the Test match.

On the other hand, in a crazy incident that unfolded at Old Trafford in Manchester was James Anderson showcasing his football skills. Anderson kicked the ball with his boot and then kept on lobbing the ball with his feet and then finally lobbed the ball up one last time to grab the ball with his hand. After that, he went back to his bowling mark. The Test match has unfolded so far in this fashion, England won the toss and chose to bowl. Australia in the first innings made their way to 317.

Chris Woakes picked up a five-wicket haul in the first innings for England

Marnus Labuschagne and Mitchell Marsh made half-centuries. Travis Head made a quickfire 48 off 65 balls with seven fours. Mitchell Starc also hit an unbeaten 36 off 93 balls with six fours. Chris Woakes picked up 5-62 for England in his 22.2 over spell. In the second innings, England smashed, battered and bullied Australia as they amassed 592. Zak Crawley made 189 off 182 balls with 21 fours and three sixes. Joe Root made a quickfire 84 off 95 balls with eight fours and one six.

Jonny Bairstow piled on the misery with some electric hitting en route to his 99 off 81 balls with 10 fours and four sixes. The Three Lions also scored 178 runs in a session on Day 3. In reply, the Kangaroos are precariously poised with 113-4. Labuschagne is batting on 44 off 88 balls with six fours. Mark Wood picked up 3-17 in his seven fours. With rain forecast on Day 4 in Manchester, it remains to be seen whether there will be a result in this Test match.
