Harbhajan Singh and Shanthakuran Sreesanth had taken the IPL by storm in 2008 when the two had an unsavoury incident on the field. The incident was known as slap gate. They were playing an IPL game. Harbhajan was playing for MI, while Sreesanth was playing for PBKS. In the altercation, Harbhajan slapped Sreesanth and was banned that season. Now, the duo are at loggerheads again.
In an ad for the food delivery app, Zomato, the duo could be seen arguing about the pronunciation of ‘Zomato’. Rishabh Pant has put the video out on social media and it created a storm on the internet. In the ad, things started on a rather sombre note, before Harbhajan pointed out to the Zomato delivery person. He said to Sreesanth, “Learn from Zomaato about delivering food on time.”. The former pacer corrected the former India spinner by saying, “It’s not Zomaato, it’s Zomaito delivers food on time.”

Tempers flared and the duo were in no mood to relent when it came to which was the right pronunciation. Harbhajan said, it is Zomaato. The headstrong Sreesanth did not believe what Harbhajan said and he pointed out that the matter should be closed quickly. Pant shared the video on Twitter and put out a caption saying, “Can’t believe Bhajji Pa and Sree fought once again.”
On another note, the duo have gone on record and said that they do not have any enmity when it comes to each other. Sreesanth has said in an interview that he was grateful to Harbhajan for helping him in his younger days when he first got into the Indian Team. Sreesanth had also called Harbhajan lovingly an ‘elder brother’ in one of the recent interviews when he talked about the slap gate incident.
Now, with the 16th edition of the Indian Premier League going on, the duo are working as experts on television channels for the tournament. The tournament will be played in 12 venues this edition in the home and away format.
