The 37-year-old senior Indian wicketkeeper-batter Dinesh Karthik has impressed everyone with his stellar performances in the recently-concluded season of the Indian T20 League. On the basis of his amazing outing in the league, Karthik has made his way back into the Indian side. He has been selected for the five-match T20I series against South Africa.

Recently, the finisher was seen entertaining his mates ahead of the penultimate fixture of the series against the visitors.

The Chennai-based senior wicket-keeper batter has uploaded a video on his Instagram handle in which he is making a stylish entry amidst some fog on the flight to Rajkot. He compared his entry in the video to a student in the classroom who walks in first to give the viva.

The Indian players cheered and enjoyed a good laugh even as Karthik finished his entertaining cameo. He captioned the post on Twitter as,  ‘Roll no.1 coming out of viva room be like.’

Notably, Dinesh Karthik has showcased great form in the Indian T20 League 2022. He played a fine knock in the second of the five-match T20I series against South Africa. He smashed 30 runs off just 21 balls in Cuttack T20I. Dinesh Karthik missed a chance to finish things off for India in the third T20I at Vizag where he got succumbed in an attempt to play a reverse scoop.

Turning up for Bangalore in the Indian T20 League 2022, Karthik played 16 games and scored 330 runs at an excellent average of 55.00 and strike rate of 183.33, with one half-century to his name in the tournament.

India are slated to play the fourth T20I against South Africa on Friday in Rajkot.
