The Twitter banter between Michael Vaughan and Wasim Jaffer took a new turn yesterday when India beat England in the second T20 international. The duo never misses a chance to have a go at each other on social media. They keep pulling each others’ legs on Twitter and the fans have always loved it.

Whenever the two have a go at each other it is always very engaging and it adds to the entertainment for the fans.
Michael Vaughan always takes the first strike at Wasim Jaffer and the latter too doesn’t giving a great response with his witty replies.

On Saturday, it was Wasim Jaffer, yet again, who had the last laugh after India’s emphatic 49-run win over England in the second T20I at Edgbaston on Saturday, July 9. Defending 171, the Indian bowlers broke the backbone of the English batters by accounting the wickets of their hard-hitting top-order early, which completely applied brakes on their momentum in this regulation chase. The victory helped India take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series.

England won the toss and elected to bowl first. India got off to a good start with skipper Rohit Sharma and wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant adding 49 runs for the opening stand. Debutant Richard Gleeson then made a mark with the ball by accounting for Rohit Sharma, Rishabh Pant and Virat to leave the Men in Blue tottering at 89/5. Star all-rounder, Ravindra Jadeja then played a brilliant cameo of an unbeaten 46 runs from 29 deliveries, that propelled India to a respectable total of 170/8.

In reply, the explosive opener, Jason Roy was dismissed for a golden duck by Bhuvneshwar Kumar and the UP pacer once again accounted for Jos Buttler cheaply. The Indian bowlers bowled a good line and length that ensured that the hosts had no chance of making a comeback even though all-rounder Moeen Ali tried his best with his 35 off 21 balls. David Willey tried to delay the inevitable by scoring an unbeaten 33 from 22 deliveries, but that was not enough as the Three Lions were bundled out for just 121 in 17 overs

Taking to Twitter, the veteran Mumbai cricketer teased Michael Vaughan with a message that read, “Hope you’re ok”. Jaffer had posted a short mocking video featuring ‘Mini Khabib’, who happens to be a die-hard fan of former UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov.
