Shardul Thakur was recently engaged to Mittali Parulkar who is also an entrepreneur. Pics from the Sangeet have taken social media by storm. The Sangeet ceremony was attended by India captain Rohit Sharma and India batter Shreyas Iyer along with many others. In the video, Shardul and his wife were seen grooving to a Bollywood number. The wedding ceremony will take place in Mumbai on February 27.
As per Zee News, 200 to 250 guests are expected to attend the event. The Haldi ceremony recently took place where Shardul was seen dancing to the popular Bollywood song Jhingaat” with his family and friends. Videos and pictures of the event have been doing the rounds on social media. Fans could not stop talking about Thakur’s amazing looks as he donned a traditional Indian Kurta and Parulkar was looking gorgeous with mehendi on her hands.
Thakur and Parulkar got engaged in November 2021
Thakur and Parulkar have been friends for a long time and got engaged in November 2021. The right-arm pacer has been a part of the Indian side since 2017. The Mumbai-born bowler has turned matches on his head with impactful bowling and batting performances. His most impactful performance came in 2021 in the white flannels for India.
When India were 186-6 in the decider at Brisbane in Australia in 2021, Thakur came in and forged a vital alliance with Washington Sundar and took India out of troubled waters. He made 67 off 119 balls with nine fours and two sixes. He also took 3-94 in the first innings and 4-61 in the second innings to hand India a 2-1 series win on Australian soil.
Thakur has picked up 50 wickets in ODIs for India at an economy rate of 6.22. He has also made 1587 runs in ODIs. He has picked up 33 wickets in 25 matches for the National side. In Tests, he has had a very short career of 8 Test matches and picked up 27 wickets in the red-ball format for India. The addition of the 31-year-old to the Indian side has given a lot of flexibility as he contributes with the bat as well.
