Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal will compete for box office supremacy in Bollywood. Animal and Sam Bahadur hit theaters on December 1. Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal have been actively promoting their respective films across various mediums. When asked about the impending box office clash, Vicky Kaushal told The Indian Express that they are both on the same team. The release date of Meghna Gulzar’s directorial Sam Bahadur was announced much earlier than that of Animal (it was previously scheduled to be released in August).

Vicky Kaushal said in an interview with The Indian Express, “When two opening batsmen come to the crease, playing for the same team, you won’t say that the two batsmen are clashing with each other, they are playing for a single team, so we are playing for Hindi cinema. While one player might hit fours and sixes, the other player will be at the crease and take ones and twos and maintain the strike.” When asked which film would score fours and which would score one and twos, Vicky simply stated, “The audience will decide.”

Vicky Kaushal and Ranbir Kapoor’s clash:

Animal, directed by Arjun Reddy director Sandeep Reddy Vanga and starring Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna, also features Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, and Triptii Dimri in key roles. The teaser shows an abusive father-son relationship (played by Anil Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor, respectively) that only gets darker and murkier as the film progresses.

Sam Bahadur, directed by Meghna Gulzar, is based on the life of India’s first field marshal, Sam Manekshaw. Vicky Kaushal has collaborated with Meghna Gulzar on a project for the second time. They previously collaborated on the film Raazi, which also starred Alia Bhatt. In the film, Sanya Malhotra plays the character of Silloo Manekshaw, and Fatima Sana Shaikh plays Indira Gandhi.

It will be interesting to see the mega-blockbuster box office clash. The Indian audience will give their verdict on 1st December. Currently, fans are eagerly waiting to rush in a frenzy to the theatres.
