‘Usme bhi Milan krni h Bobby se’- Fans react as Babar Azam gets featured in Class VIII ICSE textbook in India
India and Pakistan have had a great rivalry, over the years, in cricket. The two nations have had a storied rivalry since the time these countries got independence. The two countries have battled it out on the cricket field and have done very well. India have had the upper hand over Pakistan in World Cup games. When it comes to bilateral series, Pakistan hold the wood over India.
Babar Azam is one of the classiest batters to come out of Pakistan. The right hander also leads the side. Babar has scored 4813 runs in ODIs with a strike rate of 89.03 and an average of 59.41. He has made 17 hundreds and 24 fifties in coloured clothing for Pakistan. Babar has also featured in ICSE Book of class VIII in India. He is the biggest brand of Pakistan Cricket. It is brilliant that he’s getting the recognition even in an arch-rival country like India.

The Asia Cup will take place in Pakistan this year
When it comes to the white flannels, Babar has crafted 3696 runs. The Pakistan skipper has an average of 48.63 and a strike rate of 55.02. He has made nine hundreds and 26 fifties. Babar also led Pakistan to a runners up position in the 20-20 World Cup in Australia. Pakistan were down and out at one stage after losing to India and Zimbabwe. But then, they beat South Africa and Bangladesh to come back beautifully in the competition.
India and Pakistan, recently, were involved in a controvery over the hosting of the Asia Cup in 2023. Pakistan are to host the Asia Cup in 2023. Jay Shah had, earlier, made a statement that India will not travel to Pakistan. Pakistan then retorted by saying that they will not play the World Cup in India. Then the two boards brokered into a sort of truce. The Pakistan Cricket Board suggested that the games involving India will be held at a neutral venue.
The neutral venue has not been decided yet. It could be one among England, Oman, UAE or Sri Lanka. If all goes to plan, then there will be lot of logistical hurdles involved. This includes two separate broadcasting crews, one for India’s games and one for the games being played in Pakistan.
Let us take a look at the reactions on Twitter regarding Babar’s mention in the book:
