Unseen Pics! Aishwarya Rai Bachchan looks the goddess of beauty in pictures from early modelling days

Aishwarya Rai began modelling years before she was crowned Miss World 1994. In 1992, she did a photo shoot with actress Sonali Bendre. Aishwarya appeared in numerous iconic photo shoots even after taking home the title and starting her career as an actress. Aishwarya’s old photos from her modelling career, including a topless magazine spread she shot with former supermodel Madhu Sapre and others, have been shared on Reddit by a fan.

One Reddit user who had shared the pictures commented, “Lesser-seen Aishwarya pics: I put in the last pic because I was curious if the first model from far left was indeed Aish (Aishwarya Rai) as credited in the magazine.”  Aishwarya posed with another model while wearing just a pair of blue denim shorts, so her face was hidden from view in the purported photo.

Aishwarya was also featured in a few photos from the Miss World 1994 pageant, one of which featured her wearing all white and posing with former supermodel Milind Soman. Another photo showed Aishwarya in a blue swimsuit. Additionally, there were black-and-white images of Aishwarya from different photo shoots as well as catalogue shots of her alongside Sonali Bendre posing for an ethnic clothing brand.

A user wrote, “She’s not just pretty..there’s this ’90s supermodel thing going on in her pics…it’s way beyond just being gorgeous. Every photo is giving off serious ’90s Vogue feels.” Another user praised her by commenting, “Every single one of the photos is so mesmerising, but the first one is (heart emoji).” Meanwhile, someone said, “The first pic looks AI-generated.”

The majority of Aishwarya’s fame comes from her roles in Tamil and Hindi films. In 1997, she starred in both her first Hindi film, ‘Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya,‘ and the Tamil film Iruvar, directed by Mani Ratnam. She first became well-known in 1993 when she starred alongside actors Aamir Khan and Mahima Chaudhry in a Pepsi commercial. Aishwarya finished second in the 1994 Miss India pageant, just behind Sushmita Sen, and was crowned Miss India World.

She was awarded the Padma Shri by the Indian government in 2009, and the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres by the French government in 2012. Mohabbatein (2000), Ae Dil Hai Mushkil (2016), Dhoom 2 (2006), Guru (2007), Jodhaa Akbar (2008), Ponniyin Selvan: I (2022) and Ponniyin Selvan: II (2023) are a few of Aishwarya’s well-known films.
