Football and Cricket will meet together as Harsha Bhogle and Peter Dury will most likely be seen together next week in England. When it comes to a cricket match, the action is generally centred around the players, but this time it will be around the broadcasters, who will call the game from behind. Harsha Bhogle, the voice of Indian cricket, will be seen with the voice of football, Peter Dury.
Dury said that a meeting between the two legendary broadcasters will take place. He confirmed the same on the night of the Europa League final on Monday. This was acknowledged later by Bhogle on Twitter. Bhogle has also been included in the commentary panel for the Test Championship final, which will take place at the Oval in England between 7 to 11 June. India and Australia are the two teams that will play in the final.
It all began with a fan reaching out to Harsha Bhogle on Twitter, expressing their curiosity about a potential meeting with Peter Drury. The renowned cricket analyst from India responded with a lot of positive vibes, expressing his desire to meet Drury someday. This interaction garnered a lot of attention on social media, generating excitement and anticipation for a future encounter between the two prominent sports commentators.
Another well-known expert in the world of football, Jim Belgin also took into account the enthusiasm of the fans and wanted to take steps to facilitate the meeting. Belgin talked about the logistical hassles involved in order for the two to meet as Dury would have to travel to India or Bhogle would have to travel to England. He then gave assurance to the fans that he wants to make the collaboration happen and that he will have a word with Dury about the proposal.
Now that Bhogle has been confirmed as a commentator for the Test Championship final, it looks like the meeting of the two broadcasting stalwarts will happen. Beglin willingly expressed his interest to accompany Drury to the Oval and do whatever was possible to organise a meeting between these two esteemed commentators.
Let us take a look at the reactions on Twitter:
Wish I could be a spectator to this conversation and meeting. The voices behind most of my core sport memories! @bhogleharsha Any plans of recording a podcast with Peter Drury?

Peter speaks very highly of you, Harsha. Make sure to gift him The Winning Way. I am sure he would have interesting thoughts.

Harsha lent his voice to Sachin's final lap around the ground. He spoke from the heart and let emotions trump reason. Yet his voice never lost that calm composure. Drury did the same before Messi took the field in the World Cup. How do you find that balance of emotion,…
