The second Test between Australia and England at the home of Cricket created a lot of buzz among cricket fans. The media from both nations reacted to the match in two opposite ways. While British newspapers highlighted the dismissal of Bairstow than the eventual results, Australian newspapers reacted to the English newspapers and took a dig at the Australian players. While some of them are funny, some are a bit too harsh on the players.

One such harsh dig was taken on English players by an Australian newspaper named ‘The West Australian.’ The newspaper with a publication for over 190 years took a dig at the English captain and called him and other English players ‘Crybabies’. The other headline of the news outlet had “Poms take whingeing to a new level with cheating drivel’ written on it. The newspaper had an edited image of Ben Stokes as a baby in diapers with a new red cherry and Ashes urn with him.

Twitter users couldn’t hold their laugh at the news and reacted to the news in a funny way. On one such tweet, the English captain Ben Stokes himself reacted and commented “That’s definitely not me, since when did I bowl with the new ball”. While some users had a funny reaction to the tweet, others criticized the newspaper. Some expressed their disappointment over the incident. Some gave it back to the news and commented on Ben Stokes’ knock in Lord’s Test.

The third Test of the series is set to take place from the 6th to the 10th of July. Leeds is the venue for the Test with Australia leading the series 2-0.
