Just like strikers and defenders, goalkeepers are also an important part of a football team. However, they are mostly underrated and hardly discussed. The former England goalkeeper Gordan Banks is regarded as the all-time best in English football. He has won two English Cup titles and one FIFA Club World Cup. The Sheffield-born is always remembered for his brilliant save against Brazil in the 1970 FIFA World Cup.

Banks pulled off an incredible reflex save against the powerful and directive header from the legend, Pele. Sadly, his career came to an early end after losing one of his eyes. He died at the age of 81 in 2019.
