The journey of former Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni has been nothing short of sensational. The local Ranchi boy led India to the first T20 World Cup in 2007 and also won the ODI World Cup after 28 years in 2011 as a captain. His journey is special given the number of times he has inscribed his name in the history books.

On August 15, the former India captain announced his retirement from international cricket. MS Dhoni’s story is one of the most motivating and inspiring stories of a small-town lad who rose to become a cricketing great. Dhoni has also been a fantastic batter, winning several games on his own and providing much-needed impetus in the slog overs. As foretold, all records are meant to be broken, but not for the former India captain. Some of his records might remain intact.
