However, in reply, India needed only three of their batters to chase down this mammoth target.

Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan (95 off 86) built a 176-run partnership for the first wicket before Virat Kohli (100 off 52) joined the party to finish off the game. In a show of absolute carnage from the Indian top order, Rohit smashed 141 off 123 balls with 17 fours and four sixes to lead India to a nine-wicket victory in 43.3 overs.
