One of the brilliant batters of his era, Sir Everton Weekes played for the West Indies for a decade from 1948 to 1958. He played 81 Test innings in his career for the Caribbean side, scoring 4455 runs, and hitting 15 centuries with an average of 58.62.
Besides that, Sir Weekes played at number 4 in most of the part of his Test career; he batted in 57 innings at this position, scoring 3372, with 11 centuries. The former Caribbean stalwart holds the record for the highest batting average at the number 4 position in the Tests.
