Steve Waugh was revealed to everyone at the Sydney Cricket Ground during an Ashes Test match in 2010-2011. It was sculpted outside the stadium. The statue was made of bronze which was a befitting way to honour the former Australian skipper. The statue displayed the former right-hand batter celebrating his 29th ton that came against England during the 2002-03 edition of the Ashes. Waugh accumulated 10,927 runs in 168 Test matches.
