Cricket is a global sport and it has been so all over the world. Over the years a lot of amazing people have graced the game and made their life for several years. Many players have had distinguished careers and are remembered for their exploits in the cricket field to date. A lot of them have attained a ‘god-like status’ in their respective countries. 10. Sourav Ganguly

Sourav Ganguly has a god-like status in Kolkata. A statue of the former Indian captain was unveiled in 2017 at Balughrat. The structure is made out of bronze. The statue displays him raising his bat to acknowledge scoring a Test Hundred at the Gabba in Brisbane in 2003 against Australia. Ganguly changed the mindset of Indian cricket. Under him, India broke the jinx of not performing in finals and won the Natwest Trophy against England.
