‘The Lakers can go back in a Maxi Taxi’ – Fans furious as LA Lakers lose close encounter to Dallas Mavericks

The Dallas Mavericks overcame the LA Lakers in a gut-wrenching loss. The Lakers got a cushion with a 110-108 lead with 6.7s remaining in the game. But Maxi Kleber sealed the game with his match-winning moment. The fans roasted the Lakers after the loss. Kleber had the game time of 29 minutes and scalped 10 points. He took the last three defensive points which had a big impact on the game.
He went 2-4 from the field, including 1-3 from behind the arc. When the fourth quarter was played, the Mavericks were ahead 89-80. D’Angelo Russell, Anthony Davis and Dennis Schrode played out of their skin to put the Lakers back on par. The game was on hot coals at 97-96 with the Lakers marginally in front. Schroder then came in and gave a 100-105 lead to the Lakers.
The Lakers were sloppy on both ends of the Basketball field which cost them the match
The Lakers thought that they had the game in the bag with a 109-105 lead with 10 seconds to go in the match. Then the dramatic turn happened. Anthony Davis was the culprit for the Lakers as he made a foul on Kleber from the three-point line. The Mavericks forward came in and changed the game. He made full use of the free throws to cut down the deficit to 109-108 Kleber was the hero for his side. For Basketball fans, this was a mouth-watering clash.
The Mavericks were without the services of LeBron James and also Luka Doncic. But they managed to beat a side which was well-balanced and come up trumps. Kyle Irving stamped his authority in the game. He had 20 points in the first half. With the game ended, he finished with 38 points which were scored in just 39 minutes.
The Lakers stopped their aggressive mode of attack when they had their noses in front with a slender lead at one stage. They were sloppy on both ends of the field which eventually led to their downfall. Anthony Davis did not have the best games for his side. He scored 26 points, but his mistakes made the Lakers hang their heads in shame.
