Erling Haaland has been an absolute gem for Manchester City. This is his debut season in the Premier League. He has scored 33 goals in Premier League, The Norwegian has 12 goals in the Champions League and four goals when it comes to the other leagues. He was the missing piece in Manchester City’s puzzle and he has made the side into a well-oiled machine that has been firing in all departments.
Manchester City beat Arsenal 4-1 in the Premier League at the Etihad Stadium. Haaland assisted in two of the goals for Manchester City and scored one of them for the Club. He has been a sensation in the sport of football. Haaland added yet another feather to his cap as he became the top scorer of all time in the Premier League. With 33 goals, he broke Mohammed Salah’s record of 32 goals, which was held in the Premier League where he plays for Liverpool.
If he scores another goal, then he will get to 34. This will put him past Alan Shearer and Andrew Cole, which happened over a long season of 42 games. Haaland has looked unstoppable in Blue for City ever since he changed bases from Borussia Dortmund last summer. Manchester City have also made it to the semi-finals of the Champions League where they will go up against Real Madrid.
Manchester City will take on their rivals Manchester United in the FA Cup final on June 3 as the Pep Guardiola-managed side is trying to get their hands on a historic treble of trophies. “The next three games are really, really important,” Guardiola said. “Game by game and we will see what happens. The reality today, it sounds naive, but we are behind Arsenal on the league table.” Gardiola said.
Arsenal Boss Mikel Arteta was full praise for Haaland after his heroics when Manchester City had beaten Arsenal 4-1.“When you look at the numbers, there is no comparison with anybody else,” Arteta told Indian Express on Tuesday. “He (Haaland) is able to produce that as well because the setup is done in the right way for him.“Even with him, they have the capacity to play in a different way.”
