England’s former cricketer, Kevin Petersen made headlines as he asked Machester United to take down a post, that has his photograph in it, from their Instagram handle. The popular football club, Manchester United, recently, took to their social media to announce the start of the super 12 stage of the 20-20 World Cup in Australia.

“It’s T20 World Cup szn. We’ve welcomed cricket legends, played icc venues and met many heroes over the years,” Manchester United wrote in their Instagram post.

Kevin Petersen’s image was also used in that post. The England cricketer, however, told the club to take down the post as he expressed his displeasure over the club’s new manager for his treatment of one of the greatest football stars, Cristiano Ronaldo.

“Please take my picture off? I don’t want any association with a club run by a clown who has total disregard for the greatest footballer of all time! @cristiano is the BOSS. This clown nobody ever wants at it thinking needs a wake-up.” Petersen commented on the post.

Notably, Cristiano Ronaldo and Manchester United’s new boss don’t seem to be on good terms. In most of the games that Manchester United played in the last couple of months, Ronaldo has only come on as a late substitute and this hasn’t gone down well with the Manchester United star football.

Recently, during a match against Tottenham Hotspur, Ronaldo was seen storming down the tunnel before the full-time whistle. Notably, the football star wasn’t happy with him coming on as a substitute.

Later, Ten Hag stated that he would deal with the issue. Now, it has been learned that Cristiano Ronaldo is set to be fined 1 million pounds for the same. Ten Hag is someone who rides on discipline and, thus, deemed Ronaldo’s action as ‘unacceptable’.

Meanwhile, Machester United are currently sitting at number five on the table with 19 points in 10 games.
