Six Indian players find place in ODI team of the year revealed by Apex Cricket Council

There are a lot of huge achievements in the cricketing world and the Indian Cricket team has achieved a lot to be regarded as one of the best in the world. The number of great players who have featured in this Indian teams have been remembered globally for their contribution towards the game.

There are still some talented players in the ranks along with some great experienced players. The likes of Sunil Gavaskar, who created a platform for Sachin Tendulkar, who took Indian cricket to great heights are some of the major examples.

There is no doubt that the council had included some of these great players in the ODI team of the year. The Indian team have been really good in the One Day format where they have achieved a lot of great moments. They are currently the number-one ranked team as well. There is no doubt that the Men in Blue have been giving us some great performances, especially in the last season where they made it to two major finals and won the Asia Cup as well making them the most successful side in the game of cricket.

The performances of some Indian players have been incredible and they definitely deserve a spot in this ODI team of the year for their consistent performances last season. This is the reason why there are six players in this team right now. Rohit Sharma was no doubt the first name on this list for his great performances and brilliant leadership skills and was named captain of this team. The likes of Shubman Gill who had an impressive last season where he was the leading run-scorer for the team as well and Virat Kohli also makes this list where he had one of his best seasons last year where he was also the top run-getter in the World Cup.

These three prolific run machines are not the only ones to make this team full of elites as there have also been some great Indian bowlers picked in this team. Mohammed Siraj and Mohammed Shami were picked on their great wicket-taking skills which they had displayed last season when Siraj created havoc with the new ball and Shami came back with one of the best bowling performances in the World Cup. The left-arm China man Kuldeep Yadav has also made the team for his great comeback last season.
