With a tremendous performance, Bangladesh shocked England by handing them a 3-0 defeat in the T20I series. Playing at the home, Bangladesh proved to be invincible for the world Champions as they failed to hold their nerves on slow tracks.

Following 3-0 drubbing, former India batter Wasim Jaffer trolled his Twitter rival Michael Vaughan on social media.

Jaffer, who is also a head coach of the Bangladesh Under 19 team, trolled the former England captain. Posting his picture on Twitter, Jaffer said,

“Hello @MichaelVaughan, long time no see.” Responding to Jaffer’s Tweet Vaughan came up with a 20-20 World Cup reminder.

Sharing a picture of England skipper, Jos Buttler, with a World Cup trophy, Vaughan said, “They did… But they are still world champions .. England seems to be very good at peaking for the World cups now .. it’s a good trait to have… India should try and follow suit.”

Notably, England were playing without some of its best players. Star batters Jonny Bairstow and Liam Livingstone are still recovering from their respective injuries while Will Jacks picked up an injury just before the series. The slow wickets of Bangladesh also hurt their plans as they failed to assess it wisely.

Jos Buttler and co. failed to chase 159 runs

As for the match, Bangladesh restricted England to 142/6 after posting a competitive total of 158/2 on a slow wicket. While batting first, Bangladesh opener Liton Das hammered a magnificent half-century. Das was well supported by Najmul Hossain Shanto and Rony Talukdar, who contributed with 47* and 24, respectively. Their innings helped Bangladesh post a fighting total.

In response, England got off to a very bad start as they lost opener Phill Salt for a golden duck in the first over. Meanwhile, Captain Jos Buttler, along with David Malan, added 95 runs for the second wicket. However, both batters got out in a single over and the visitors never bounced back.

Taskin Ahmed and Mustafizur Rahman shined with the bowl and restricted England to 142/6 in 20 overs.

Meanwhile, Fans also reacted to Wasim Jaffer’s Tweet and call it well-timed. A Twitter user said, “Sabki ijjat karenge to lenge kisiki.”
