Team News

Bangladesh Legends

Bangladesh Legends lost their first match against West Indies Legends on the back of poor performance. However, the team has all the chances to make a strong comeback in the second outing against New Zealand Legends.

Players to watch out for:
1) Abdur Razzak

Bangladesh’s star bowler Abdur Razzak produced an economical spell in the first match against West Indies legends. He’ll look the bring on some magic with his slow left-arm orthodox in the second match as well.

2) Dolar Mahmud:

The batting all-rounder fared out well with the ball in the last game. Although he perished after scoring just a single run with the bat, he picked up a scalp with the ball and conceded less than ten runs.

3) Alok Kapali:

Alok Kapali, the all-rounder, turned out to be the star with the ball as he picked up a scalp. He also scored 19 valuable runs for his team, although at a losing cause.

Predicted Playing XI: Tushar Imran, Abdur Razzak, Shahadat Hossain (c), Dhiman Ghosh (wk), Mohammad Sharif, Nazimuddin, Alok Kapali, Aftab Ahmed, Abul Hasan, Dolar Mahmud, Nazmus Sadat

New Zealand Legends

New Zealand Legends lost their first match of the tournament too and succumbed to just 99 runs in the first innings. South Africa Legends crushed the Kiwi veterans in the latter’s first outing. The Black Caps will look to turn things around in the second outing.

Players to watch out for:
1) Dean Brownlie:

Dean Brownlie is definitely a player to watch out for in the match against Bangladesh Legends. The player toyed with the South African bowlers, although it came in a losing cause.

2) Ross Taylor:

The New Zealand legend will look to make the best use of the opportunity against the Bengal Tigers veterans. The player failed to fire in the first outing and will look to compensate for the same in the second outing.

3) Shane Bond:

There was a time when the bowler threatened every single batter with his action and pace. In the first outing, the veteran carried on from where he left in his last match. Shane Bond can create havoc in Bangladesh’s middle order.

Predicted Playing XI: Anton Devcich, Ross Taylor (c), Neil Broom, Dean Brownlie, Craig McMillan, Aaron Redmond, Gareth Hopkins (wk), Jacob Oram, Shane Bond, Bruce Martin, Hamish Bennett
