‘RCB uska career khatam kar denge’ – Fans react to old image of Riyan Parag supporting RCB surface on internet

Riyan Parag has played six matches for Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2023.

Riyan Parag has not had the best IPL season in 2023. The Rajasthan Royals player, in six matches that he has played, has scored 56 runs. With the highest score of 20, this has been an underwhelming season for him. He has a measly average of 11.60. The right-hander is striking at a rate of 107.40. He has hit just three fours and three sixes.

An old picture of Parag expressing his support to Royal Challengers Bangalore in an IPL game has resurfaced online. In the picture, Parag can be seen waving a green flag and expressing his support. A fan had tweeted the picture. He also put out a tweet which read, “Come to RCB @ParagRiyan I believe in you king. “Riyan also reacted to this post and wrote, “Ahh Memories”.

This post has got a splurge of reactions. Parag had earlier said that he has got the all-round game to represent India. Before the start of IPL 2023, Parag said that he sees himself hitting four sixes in an over and winning games for RR. But that has not transpired. Parag’s place was filled in by Dhruv Jurel who has played some great cameos and almost won them a game against Punjab Kings in IPL 2023.

With Parag also reacting to the post, this could mean that the Assam all-rounder might be thinking of switching bases to RCB next season. Parag has been with RR since 2019. Parag was looked at as a big-hitting all-rounder in the RR ranks. But he has failed to step up and fill the void.

RR has done well as a franchise. They made it to the final of the 2022 IPL where they lost to Gujarat Titans. In IPL 2023. They won four of their first five games and then lost five out of six games. When it looked down and out for RR, they came back well. The Sanju Samson led side got a dominating victory against Kolkata Knight Riders where they won by nine wickets. RR were the winners of the inaugural IPL season in 2008.
