Ravichandran Ashwin dismisses England’s star batter for 12th time in Test cricket

In the second innings of the first Test match in Hyderabad Indian off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin dismissed England captain Ben Stokes. Ashwin dismissed Ben Stokes with a unique delivery that pitched on the middle stump and turned away from the batter.

Ravichandran Ashwin dismissed Ben Stokes for the 12^th time in Test cricket. Ashwin, who is famed for bowling against left-handed batsmen, have only given 232 runs against Stokes throughout his playing career. Ashwin has dominated Stokes over the course of 25 innings.

Apart from Ben Stokes, Ashwin has dismissed David Warner 11 times and Alastair Cook 9 times in Tests. The experienced spinner is also on the verge of 500 Test wickets. Ashwin currently has 495 Test wickets. The ongoing series is going to achieve this feat.

India dominates England in the first Test match

India is currently in pole position to win in Hyderabad as they have dominated the games. After England scored 246 runs in the first innings, India responded with 246 of their own, courtesy of KL Rahul, Yashasvi Jaiswal, and Ravindra Jadeja, all of whom were dismissed in their 80s. England is now batting in their second innings and has a lead of 126 runs for a 5-wicket loss.
