Raveena Tandon recently received backlash for inadvertently liking a social media post mocking The Archies actors Agastya Nanda and Khushi Kapoor’s acting abilities. The viral post, which criticized their performances in the Netflix film, displayed Raveena’s ‘like,’ prompting online users to troll her and draw attention to her daughter Rasha Thadani’s upcoming Bollywood debut.

Raveena responded by taking to her social media account to address the situation. She posted a note apologizing for the error and explaining that the ‘like’ was unintentional and occurred while scrolling. She ended the message with emojis that conveyed embarrassment and remorse, expressing her regret for any inconvenience caused.

Raveena Tandon shares apology on story:

She wrote, “Touch buttons and social media. A genuine oversight has been exaggerated. The like was made by accident, and it was something I was not even aware of that had been pressed by scrolling. I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience or hurt caused.” Raveena posted a note clarifying her position on liking the Archies post with emojis.

The Archies, directed by Zoya Akhtar, debuted on Netflix on December 7 to mixed reactions. The film features debut performances by Agastya Nanda, Suhana Khan, and Khushi Kapoor, as well as Vedant Raina, Mihir Ahuja, Aditi Dot, and Yuvraj Menda.

The Archies have received a mixed reaction on social media, with many criticizing the cast selection. Though social media can be harsh, it’s clear that these celebrities were mentally prepared for such scrutiny. However, labelling them as bad actors may undermine their confidence. Regardless, Agastya and Khushi are well aware of their privileged positions and, like their family members, are unlikely to give up easily. Notably, both Agastya and Khushi have landed roles in their second films, and it will be interesting to see if they can change people’s perceptions.

Rasha Thadani, Raveena Tandon’s daughter, is set to make her Bollywood debut alongside Ajay Devgn’s nephew, Aaman Devgan, in an untitled film that also stars Ajay Devgn. The fans of the veteran Bollywood actress cannot wait to see her daughter’s big Bollywood debut.
