Indian Women’s cricket has been growing from strength to strength as they emerged as runners-up in the 2017 World Cup. They came second to Australia in the 20-20 World Cup in 2020. They made it to the final of the Commonwealth Games and lost by a narrow margin of 9 runs to Australia.

The Indian Women’s team recently achieved history when they went on to beat England in their backyard after a huge gap of 23 years. The key architect of the 3-0 win was the India Captain Harmanpreet Kaur, who scored 221 runs in the series against the Three Lions.

Poonam Yadav picked has picked up 98 wickets in T20I Cricket
Poonam Yadav was one of the pillars in the campaign which was held in Australia, where she scalped 10 wickets in the showpiece event and helped India make it to the final.

She has picked up 98 wickets in T20Is to date at an economy rate of 5.75, a strike rate of 15.9, and an average of 15.25. She has to her credit, the best bowling figures of 4/9 in the shortest format of the game.
