India and New Zealand are set to face off against each other in ODIs. The last time the two sides met in New Zealand, the Kiwis had won the series 1-0. In the last few series that were played, India lost the ODI series against Bangladesh 2-1 before winning the three-match series against Sri Lanka 2-0.
The ODI side will be led by Rohit Sharma. KS Bharat will serve as the backup wicketkeeping option in the absence of Rishabh Pant. Hardik Pandya will be vice-captain. Shahbaz Ahmed made a return to the ODI side. The contest will be very hard-fought as New Zealand have good players of spin. Here is a look at India’s predicted playing XI against New Zealand.
The top order will have the likes of Rohit Sharma, who will open the batting with Ishan Kishan, who will also be the frontline wicketkeeper. The left-handed batter at the top means that India will have a right-left combination at the top. Rohit made an 83 off 67 balls and Kishan recently scored a double hundred against Bangladesh.
