The 16th season of the Indian T20 League (ITL) has started with some blistering performances from top stars from Indian Cinema. The combo of Cricket and Bollywood came back after almost four years as the league was affected due to COVID-19. On the first day, MS Dhoni led-Chennai will take on Hardik Pandya’s Gujarat at the Narendra Modi stadium in Ahmedabad. Gujarat won the toss and decided to bowl first to set off with a bang.
Earlier, star Bollywood singer Arijit Singh started the opening ceremony with his melodious songs. The singer entertained the audience with some of his amazing songs. Arjit treated the jam-packed crowd with a number of his hit songs, including Kesariya, Channa Mereya, Kabira, Apna Bana Le Re, Lehra Do, Tujhe Kitna Chahane Lage Hum, Jhoome Jo Pathaan, Dance Ka Bhoot, Deva Deva, Ghungroo, Twist, Illahi, Pyaar Hota Kayi Baar Hai. After his performance actress Tamanna Bhatia amazed the fans with some amazing Dance moves. The actress performed some famous Bollywood songs and entertained a sea of spectators.
In the end, actress Rashmika Mandanna came as a show stopper and set the stage on fire with her amazing dance moves. The superstar actress also performed on the Oscar Awardee Natu Natu song to end her performance. She performed on songs like Shrivalli and Dholiada before moving to RRR’s iconic song. The trio took the stage on fire and gave a memorable start to Indian T20 Leagues Sweet’s sixteenth season.
Will Chennai beat Gujarat?
In the first game of the season, Chennai are set to face Gujarat at the Narendra Modi Stadium. The team is looking to make a comeback as they finished 9th last year. Although, Chennai, who were hammered twice last season by Gujarat is looking to take revenge to get a flying start this season. Meanwhile, Gujarat will look to start with a win as they are defending the title and this is their first home game of ITL 2023.
